Bachelor of Science, Interior Design Southern Illinois University, Carbondale
One of my favorite pieces of furniture from is the Ribbon stool by Haworth. I love its playfulness, fluid lines, and unique color offerings—because every space needs a splash of fun. The design evoke ideas of movement, dance and music… all things that I feel are important in life.
MY PATH IS MY OWN.
I have always enjoyed rearranging furniture, seeing how different layouts would work in a space.
In high school, I followed my passion and took a class on interior design. I continued on the path and received my college degree in interior architecture and design. During my last year of college, my class visited Haworth’s headquarters in Holland, Michigan. Little did I know that years later that I would build my career at a Haworth dealership. I’ve recently celebrated my 18th anniversary at Kayhan!
PROUD TO CARRY THE KAYHAN FLAG.
Kayhan has been an amazing place for me to grow in my career. I started at Kayhan only 2 years out of college and came in as a junior level designer not knowing much about the contract furniture industry. Being surrounded by so many wonderful, experienced people has helped me grow into who I am today, not only as an employee, but in my personal life as well. I was very fortunate to have many great mentors along the way. People who saw the potential in me that maybe I was not as aware of in my earlier years.
Three years ago, I stepped into the role as Director of the design department.I get to lead a group of very talented designers, while still dabbling in project work. Leading the department has unveiled a set of strengths I did now know were within me. I guess in summation, the people, life experiences and growth opportunities are the reasons I have stayed at Kayhan all these years. Kayhan is my extended family and my home away from home.
WORKED WITH SOME AMAZING CLIENTS.
